From Bare Dirt to Fire Pit Hangout Spot

Here's what we were working with - a rough, uneven patch of ground with no real purpose. Bare dirt, a few scattered rocks, and zero usable space. Not exactly the kind of backyard you want to spend time in.

We started from the ground up. That means cleaning and prepping the area, laying a weed barrier to keep things tidy long-term, and setting the right slope for proper drainage. That last part matters more than people realize. Skip the drainage work and you end up with a soggy, eroding mess after every rainstorm. We don't skip it.

Once the base was right, we brought in pea stone and edged the whole area with pavers to keep everything clean and contained. Then came the fire pit - stacked stone, built to last, centered right in the space so chairs can pull up from every direction. It's a simple setup that just works.

We also teamed up with another local company to handle bistro lights across the space. That collaboration made a real difference. The whole area goes from a nice daytime hangout to something genuinely special once the sun goes down. String lights overhead, fire in the pit, people relaxing in chairs - that's the goal.
